We are currently looking for a Senior Project Manager to manage and coordinate our Richmond expansion. Responsibilities

  • Help develop and manage a new satellite office in Richmond, VA!
  • Assist with the marketing of the firm's capabilities to establish new clients and enhance relationships with existing clients
  • Act as the primary liaison between company and client. Fully understand a client's needs and expectations for their project. Exercise good client management by providing sound technical expertise, consulting, and education.
  • Provide work assignments and review performance to ensure the efficient, cost-effective utilization of staff
  • Hire, train, retain, and develop engineering staff
  • Facilitate work between engineering and field survey to create an efficient method of field/office synergy
  • Serve as technical advisor by providing senior level input and evaluation on projects
  • Keep current on engineering trends and developments in order to recommend informed department changes
  • Be active in the engineering, surveying, planning and/or environmental community; attend organizational meetings and serve on committees of HBAV, GRACRE, VAS, ABC and other local groups

Required Experience

  • At least ten (10) years of land development experience to include project management, staff supervision, and management of client relationships
  • Demonstrated experience successfully managing the financial, marketing, human resources, and operational aspects of a growing team
  • Project management expertise including scheduling, finance, and quality control
  • Experience with business development and marketing designed to retain and attract business
  • Leadership and staff management experience
  • Experience working effectively with government officials, clients, and staff members
  • Knowledge of local jurisdictional and industry requirements
  • Technical proficiency in all aspects of field expertise: engineering, planning and/or environmental work such as SWM/BMP, erosion and sediment control, storm sewer, sanitary and water design
  • Proficiency with the MS office suite
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Experience

  • Prior land development experience in the greater Richmond area

Education and Certifications

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering
  • PE certification required
